After Captain Kevin Drue Donnelly’s diagnosis with HCV, he worked tirelessly to assist veterans, their families and individuals new to this path.
As he neared the end of his life, due to this virus, Kevin had one regret: that he had not spent more time assisting others to learn about hospice care.
“Veterans’ Hospice Outreach” helps veterans and those in need:

Kevin Drue Donnelly worked extensively with Phyllis Beck as she created the National HCV Prison Coalition.
The night Kevin died, he was working toward the goal of having Dr. Ben Cecil open a hotline to speak with prisoners. Phyllis Beck led this effort.
The goal became a reality with Phyllis Beck’s dedication.
Kevin Drue Donnelly and LeighAnn Vogel built the web site, Veterans Helping Veterans. Together they amassed information to assist many.
