To Live, Not To Exist

“The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.”

Diane Sawyer, ABC News Anchor

“You have to believe your first job is to be a powerful witness.

You say to yourself, ‘I will turn your pain into purpose.

I will try to turn your pain into a fulcrum that moves the world to help.’ ”

Plans, Bane And Valentine’s Day

“Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood and will not be realized.

Make big plans.

Aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble and logical plan never dies, but long after we are gone will be a living thing.” Lita Bane

Veterans and Hospice Care

After Captain Kevin Drue Donnelly’s diagnosis with HCV, he worked tirelessly to assist veterans, their families and individuals new to this path.

As he neared the end of his life, due to this virus, Kevin had one regret:  that he had not spent more time assisting others to learn about hospice care.
